The Parent Association is the structure through which parents in a school can work together for the best possible education for their children. The PA works with the Principal, staff and the Board of Management to build effective partnership between home and school.
All parents and guardians of children attending Scoil Mhuire are members of the Parent Association, the committee is elected at the annual AGM.
The PA works in partnership with the school and assists by:
- Input in revising school policies
- Preparing a newsletter
- Organising extra curricular activities for the children
- Networking among parents
- Updating the facebook page
One of the primary activities of the PA is to raise funds for school equipment and subsidising trips for the children. Some of these activities include:
- Social nights
- Church gate collection
- Bag packing
- Sponsored walks
The Parent's Association are in the process of forming a new group. We hope to have more information shortly.
