The new set down/pick up system is working well! Parents are reminded that this is strictly a no parking area. All children must exit and enter their car on the footpath side and use the designated crossing.

School will be closed on Monday 3rd June (Bank holiday)

School will finish for the Summer holidays @ 12.00 on Friday 28th June. School will re-open on Thursday 29th August 2013 @ 9am.

Children in Scoil Mhuire do not have any access to social media websites through the school server.

If anyone would like to make use of shredded paper, please contact Melissa.

We are still collecting mobile phones! Please send in any old or broken mobile phones to school. Proceeds go to Irish Autism Action (IAA) & the Jack & Jill appeal.

Scoil Mhuire is a co-educational catholic primary school under the patronage of the Catholic Bishop of Kildare & Leighlin diocese.

School staff consists of 22 full time teachers, 10 special needs assistants, secretary, caretaker & cleaning staff. The school aims to serve the primary educational needs of the pupils in the town and parish of Abbeyleix.

Overall our school aims to provide a caring learning environment, which facilitates the nurturing of each pupil's full educational potential. The achievement of this aim informs all of the planning processes and activities which occur in our school.
